Harold E. Montgomery, 71 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at his home. Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by his parents Dyson & Laura Montgomery and a daughter Joy Ann Montgomery. He is survived by his wife Grace A. Montgomery of the home; son & daughter-in-law Travis & Ashley Montgomery of Pulaski and their children Brandon Harold Montgomery and Emma Olivia Montgomery; step-son & spouse William & Wanda Storie of Belview, MO; godchildren Tina & Chet Payne of Galax; sisters & brother-in-law Gertrude Gibson of Richmond and Marie & T.W. Marshall of Martinsville; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Elmon Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dry Pond Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
