Harden Early (Junior) Nester, 91, of Hillsville, began his new life in Heaven on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mr. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Harden Early Nester, Sr. and Lettie Horton Nester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nester was also preceded in death by his precious wife of 62 years, Earnestine Nester; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his son, Les Nester and wife, Kathy of Newport, VA; daughter, Kay Dickerson and fiancé, Donald Webb of Laurel Fork; sister, Edna Riddle of Martinsville; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM with Brother Danny Beasley and Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Oak Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
