Hannah Alderman, 87, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 02, 2013 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. Ms. Alderman was born in Carroll County to the late George Washington and Nancy Martin Alderman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Alderman, Clerin Alderman, and George Alderman; and sisters, Pearl Alderman, Alice Gardner, Mae Webb, Lula Alderman, and Maude Alderman. Survivors include a sister, Vera Webb of Hillsville; sister-in-law, Helen Alderman of Hillsville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Alderman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 PM lasting until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alderman Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
