Gwendolyn "Gwen" Bullard Barley, 72 of Austinville, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 at her daughter's home in Jacksonville, NC.  Mrs. Barley was born in Greensboro, NC to the late William Duncan and Scharline Frances Bullard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Steven Barley; and brothers, Randall Bullard and Shawn Bullard.

Survivors include her son, Toby Barley; daughter, Tonya Barley; brother, William Bullard, Jr.; sister, Shyrline Moore; grandchildren, Presley Burch, Brittany Thornburg, Kayla Barley, Austin Williams, Timber Ruiz, and Caleb Jewell; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
