Guy Hobert Edmonds, 79 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Edmonds was born in Wythe County to the late Floyd & Ruby Edmonds. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Otey; three brothers Paul, Fred and Ralph Edmonds; and a sister Wanda Frankenfield. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years June Davis Edmonds as well as two daughters and a son-in-law Lori & Larry Ring and Deborah Edmonds all of Hillsville. He is also survived by three special grandchildren Priscilla Otey, Clarissa Otey and Corey Ring. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law Garnett & Marie Edmonds of Austinville and Sid & Mary Edmonds of Hillsville; sisters Patsy Lovell of Galax and June Manuel of Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The family requests donations be made to Twin County Hospice P.O. Box 106 Galax, VA 24333, however the family will also be glad to receive flowers.
