Grosby Carl Nester, 93 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home. Mr. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late George Clinton and Maude Bolt Nester. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ed Nester; sister, Christine Huff; and niece, Donna Huff Webb.

Carl was an Army Veteran having served during the U.S. occupation of Japan. He was retired with over 25 years of service at Radford's Lynchburg Foundry.

Survivors include his nephew Terry Nester (Roberta); special friend, Frances Micky Webb; and great-nephews, David Nester and Sean Nester.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Crooked Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Sandy Hendrick and Rev. Oscar Hill officiating.
