Gregory Adrian Senior 75 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Dorothy Thomas Senior; brothers, Adolph Senior, Jr., and Eugene Senior.

Gregory proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps including a tour in Vietnam. He was a modest man, he never liked being the center of attention, he was generous with his time and talents and if anyone needed help, he was the first to volunteer and the last to leave. One time he left a fifty-dollar tip for a twenty-dollar meal and the waitress was so overwhelmed she said there must be some mistake, he assured her there was no mistake. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving partner, Marion Durre as well as his siblings and spouses, Richard and Yong Senior, John and Katherine Senior, Larry and Ernestine Senior, Jethro Senior, and Anthony Senior and fiancé Gloria Lyles. Several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Holly Adams a special hospice nurse, as well as his loving caregivers, Channon Zenner and Shirley Zenner.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor David Bays officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W.
