Gregory Scott Gibson, 75 of Galax, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at his home.  Mr. Gibson was born in Wise County, VA to the late Charles D. and Estella Hensley Gibson.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Tonyia Gibson; children, Gordon Gibson, Reggie Gibson (Sherri), Erin Gibson, and Nathaniel Gibson (Zachary Annen); sister, Mary Hope Gibson; grandchildren, Logan Gibson and Oliver Gibson-Stuckey.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice for the wonderful care they have provided.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Dr. Lawrence Childs officiating.  Burial will follow in the Felts Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sticht Center on Healthy Aging and the Alzheimer's Prevention Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Attn: Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations P.O.
