Grant Afton Mabe, 71 of Lafayette, TN, formerly of Carroll County, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Tennessee. Mr. Mabe was born in Carroll County to the late William A. & Hattie Burnett Mabe. He is survived by his children & their spouses Carol & David Worrell of Woodlawn, Billy & Regina Mabe of Woodlawn, Kenneth & Cathy Mabe of Ennis, NC, and James & Missy Mabe of Woodlawn; brother Wallace Mabe of Woodlawn; sisters Cleona Lineberry of Woodlawn and Nancy Tolbert of Pulaski; two grandchildren; and special friend Patricia Dakhoo of Lafayette, TN.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Mabe Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 14, 2009 one hour prior to the funeral service.
