Hillsville
Gordon Glenn Sowers 86 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Cub” and Viola Webb Sowers; half sister, Ila Sutphin.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Jack Cox; nephew and spouse, Steven and Bonnie Cox; niece, Lisa Cox; great nephew, Andrew Cox; great niece, Jenna Cox.
A Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Gladesboro Cemetery with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gladesboro Cemetery. A guestbook is available on-line by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Sowers family.
