Gordon Paul Mills, "GP", age 88, of Fancy Gap, VA was called to his heavenly home on January 24th, 2025. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.  He was born January 12th, 1937, to the late Peter and Elsie Mills. Gordon Proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years prior to his Retirement. After retirement Gordon, his wife Sarah, and their five children owned and operated a family restaurant business, Town & Country Restaurant in Vero Beach, Florida. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, traveling, and long trips to Home Depot.

He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Elsie Mills, Siblings Charles Abbott and Barbara Rolf, First wife, Joyce Mills, his children Paula Ann, Gordon Paul Mills JR, Kenneth Murphy, and Julie Greer and his beloved canine companion Sissy girl.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Mills, three daughters, Sandy Murphy and Susan Mills, and Cindi Murphy, Grandchildren Melissa Chaffee, Kayla Chaffee, Megan Chaffee, Samantha Divola and Charlotte Botsko, Katrina Williams-Browne and Tabitha Murphy. Seven Great Grandchildren, Emma, Johnathan, Hunter, Easton, Jackson, Johanna, and Gwendalyn.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery at 12:00 PM.  Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King post 1115.  In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.)  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
