Goldia Canary Phillips, 92, of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Ms. Phillips was born in Carroll County to the late Jessie Andrew and Bertha Nancy Susan Horton Phillips.

She is survived by her children, Mary Sue Lehman of Lynch Station, VA, Verna Mae Hill of Monrovia, MD, Earnest Lee Phillips of Woodlawn, Dreama Ann Chappell of Woodlawn, and Creasy Alice Phillips of Mt. Airy, NC; sister, Mary Botkins of Mt. Airy, NC; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
