Glorine Largen peacefully died in the early hours of Monday, October 30, 2023. She was born in Hillsville, VA to the late Gretchen Cochran and the late Kyle Cochran. After living in Gladesboro and a brief time in Falls Church, VA, she and her loving husband, John Cassell (JC) Largen, made Roanoke, VA their home. They were married for 52 years when he passed on October 19, 2001.

Glorine loved her work as a child support investigator for the Virginia Department of Social Services, Division of Child Support Enforcement for many years. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Roanoke.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John and Kristin Largen of Dubuque, Iowa; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Judy Largen of Roanoke; and son, Todd Largen of Roanoke. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter and husband, Kelsey and Alan Rhodes of Honolulu, HI, and three great grandchildren, Kaia, Jett and Kodi Rhodes.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Harmony of Roanoke and Good Samaritan Hospice for all of their love and care.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Gladesboro Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gladesboro, VA at 1:00 pm, with the Funeral to follow at 2:00 pm. Minister Bill Heim will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, VA.
