Glenn Lee Dalton, 80, of Hillsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2014. He was born in Carroll County on January 15, 1934 to the late Howard John and Annie Beasley Dalton. He was also preceded in death by his step-grandson, Joe Mabry. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Smith Dalton of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Delores Johnson of Hillsville, Roxanne and Rev. Michael Bond of Christiansburg, and Donna and Greg Delp of Woodlawn; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Tammy Dalton of Hillsville and Dale and Charlyn Dalton of Salem; eight grandchildren, Kevin Johnson, Aaron Bond, Jessica Bond Graham, Ashley Delp Linville, Daniel Dalton, Autumn Dalton Stanley, Whitney Dalton Smith, and Isaac Dalton; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 7:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Hooker and Rev. David Bays officiating. Burial will be at the Beasley Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
