Gleeon Lee "G.L." Quesenberry, Jr. age 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Quesenberry was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Gleeon L. Quesenberry, Sr. and Pearl E. Spivey Quesenberry.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda M. Quesenberry; a son, Gregory L. Quesenberry; and a brother, G. Reed Quesenberry.

Mr. Quesenberry was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with over 35 years of service.  G.L. always had a smile.  He loved life and loved the Lord and left a great impression on everyone he met.

Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Bednarek (Cary), Christie Soverns (Keith), and Anita Laurent (Bill); sister, Delite Fogg (David); granddaughter, Alena Horvath (Dan); great-granddaughter, Zara Horvath; special companion, Jane Patton; sisters-in-law, Wanda Boblett (Stuart) and Molly Pinner (Bob); nephew, Dustin Fogg (Catherine); and great-nephew, John Fogg.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in Coulson Cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
