Gladys Louise Shupe, 96 of Woodlawn, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home.  Mrs. Shupe was born in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Noah Ervin and Lydia Frances Hale Underwood.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin (Buddy) Shupe; daughter and son-in-law, Karen S. and Joseph H. Hughes, Jr.; and siblings, Homer, Arthur, Buford, Edgar, Mae, Clara, Marie, and Ruby.

Survivors include her granddaughter and spouse, Amy and Mike Snavely; great-grandchildren and spouse, Hunter and Megan Hoback, Logan Felts, Brooke Hughes, and Blake Hughes; special friends, Charlotte and James Felts; special caregivers, Wilma Quesenberry, Vickie Kemp, Ann Hawkins, and Paula Spangler; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Longest officiating.  Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
