Gerald Morris Montgomery, 62 of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Gerald was born in Carroll County to Dewey M. & Odessie Sybol Montgomery. In addition to his parents he is survived by his son Jeff Montgomery; daughter & son-in-law Leasa & Brett Williams of Texas; sister Patricia M. Dalton of Hillsville; brothers Michael D. Montgomery of Hillsville, Nathan Montgomery of Laurel Fork, and Ricky Montgomery of Pulaski; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Thomas.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dustin Montgomery and Rev. Kirk Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the McGrady Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
