Georgia Mitchell Jennings, 94 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County to the late James Arthur and Lucinda Gardine Greer Mitchell. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Jennings; sisters, Gladys Mitchell Cox and Eva Mitchell Wadsworth; and brothers, James Edward Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, and Baby Boy Mitchell.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Gary Spencer of Hillsville; sister, Mary Arrington of Hillsville; grandchildren, James Mitchell Spencer and wife, Natalia and Ketturah Lucinda Spencer and fianceé, Josh Jones; and great-granddaughter, Jacey Spencer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Dinwiddie Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM with Pastor David Westmoreland and Pastor Grace Kim officiating. Burial will follow in the Dinwiddie Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
