George Webb Gold, 81, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. George was born on February 8, 1925 in Shelby, NC. George was an electronics engineer and sales representative for many years before establishing his own business. He is survived by his wife Jane M. Gold of the home; two sons, Brian Gold and Michael Gold, one daughter, Wendy Wilson; one stepson, Mitchell Hendrick; one stepdaughter, Teresa Lindsey; one grandchild, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Joyce Blanton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, with Dr. John Dunstan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hillsville Christian Church Building Fund at 120 Edgewood Dr. Hillsville, VA 24343.
