George Clinton Dalton, 75, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his home. Mr. Dalton was born in Carroll County to the late Jordan and Allie Largen Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Randle Jackson Quesinberry; and brother, Lenford Lance Dalton. Survivors include his wife, Oleta Dalton of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Eileen Frances and Robert Edwards of Hillsville; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher George and Sarah Elizabeth Dalton of Galax; sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Carl Martin of Hillsville; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Earnie D. Quesinberry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Wendell Horton and Rev. J.B. Lineberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
