George Isaac Alderman, 80 of Barren Springs, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Alleghany.  Mr. Alderman was born in Wythe County to the late Oscar Heath and Amanda Edna Hodge Alderman.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, William "Shug" Alderman, Robert Alderman, Elmer "Brown" Alderman, Raby "Junior" Alderman, and Myrtle Sutphin.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Webb Alderman; daughters, Lisa Spencer (Tony) and Stacy King (Eddie); son, Randal Alderman; grandchildren, Kayla Akers (Kenneth), Anthony Spencer (Lindsey), Jordan Crockett (Brody), Meagan King, Gracelyn Alderman, Leia Alderman, Harper Alderman, and Lauryn Alderman; great-grandchildren, Ishmael Davis, Peyton Akers, and Willow Spencer; and siblings, Everett Alderman, Charlie Alderman (Trula), Annabelle Riggins, India Beasley (Clinton), Ruby Quesenberry, Barbara Hagy (Bruce), and Carol Allison (David).

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Riverview Church of God in Draper with Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Alderman Family cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Riverview Church of God on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
