Genevieve Branscome, 94 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Branscome was born in Carroll County to the late William and Betty May Thomas Bolt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil C. Branscome and a son, Jeffery Douglas Branscome.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Betty Lou and Lloyd Bolt of Laurel Fork, James Cecil and Janet Branscome of Smith Mountain Lake, Donald Leo and Fay Branscome of Hillsville, Jack Branscome of Charlotte, NC and Patricia Ann and David Young of Hillsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Warren and Juanita Bolt of Hillsville and Archie and Peggy Bolt of Meadows of Dan; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
