Geneva G. Goad, 93, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berlie A. Goad; parents, Charles and Ocie Hull Goad; daughters, Dorothy Ann Hall, Catherine Goad, and Lula Bell Goad; brothers, Leonard Goad, Dennis Goad, Delmer Goad, and Alvin Goad; sisters, Ardith Goad, Hattie Goad, Elsie Hodges, and Edith Smythers; daughter-in-law, Barbara Goad. Survivors include her children, Arlene G. and Joe Plummer of Woodlawn, Melvin and Bonnie Goad of Salem, DelRay and Lucille Goad of Hillsville, and Roger Wayne Goad of Hillsville; sister, Mattie Goad of Hillsville; son-in-law, Clifford Hall; ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; special niece, Louise Jonas. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow at the Goad Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Goad family.
