Golden Geneva Goad, 88 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Hillsville Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Posey and Rodoska Dalton Baker.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willis Goad and several other family members.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Jones (Rick) of Hillsville, VA; sisters, Virginia Marshall of Kernersville, NC, Eileen Moran of Floyd and Elva Price of Georgia; granddaughter, Felecia Farley (Richard) of Roanoke, VA; great-granddaughter, Haley Sells of Hillsville, VA; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Tom Alderman Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Bryant officiating.  The family will receive friends at on Wednesday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the graveside service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
