Gayle Cardin, 89, passed away on September 17, 2022 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mrs. Cardin was born in Pulaski, Virginia and moved to Fort Pierce in 1957.

Gayle was nicknamed "Stormy" by her husband. She was president of the Ladies AMVETS Auxiliary. She enjoyed singing in church choirs, loving her Cocker Spaniels, gardening in Virginia with her husband, but most of all adored her children and grandchildren immensely. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports. Gayle was very involved with her family and was always her husband's right hand at their flooring business, Cardin & Sons Flooring.

Survivors include her son, John Cardin of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Deborah Kraft of Vero Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, Virginia. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski, Virginia. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
