Gary Joe McGrady, 69 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Mr. McGrady was born in Carroll County to the late Joseph and Ina Marie Flanagan McGrady.

Survivors include his siblings and spouses, Tim McGrady, Becky and Tom Smith, and Connie and William Maxwell, Jr.; niece, Anna Jones; and nephews, Andrew Smith, Jack Maxwell, and Ethan Maxwell.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Richard Beasley Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Elders Dan Puckett and Lewis Vass officiating.  A memorial service will be also held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church at 1:30 PM with Elders Dan Puckett, Lewis Vass, Ronald Bowman and Jerry Nester officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beasley Memorial Cemetery Fund, C/O Carter Bank & Trust, P.O. Box 99, Hillsville, VA 24343 or by visiting any Carter Bank location.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
