Gary Mack Gravley, age 60, of Hillsville, VA passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Gravley; mother, Barbara Vaughan Murphy; step-mother, Nancy Rose; brothers, Dale Gravley and Dennie Surratt; sister, Rosemary Nixon.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Bevil Gravley of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Asa and Taylor Gravley of Mooresville, NC; special nephew and spouse, Brennan  and Christy Gravley of Alexandria, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Rhonda Gravley of Woodlawn, VA, Dallas Gravley of Galax, VA, Paul and Linda Gravley of Hillsville, VA, Ricky Surratt of Wytheville, VA, and Michael Surratt of Allisonia, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and John Smith of Wytheville, VA, Cristy Quesinberry and W.D. of Hillsville, VA, and Marcy Bayse of Abingdon, VA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Romey and Charlotte Bevil of Fancy Gap, VA; sister-in-law and spouse, Rebecca and Larry Hall of Fancy Gap, VA; special fur baby, Maxx. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Theron Phillips officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday, prior to the memorial service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Gravley family.
