Gary Wayne (Gator) Riggins, 57, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at his home. Mr. Riggins was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Carolyn Riggins. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Marie Riggins of Hillsville; his children, Larry and Sherry Mabe of, Woolwine, Wendy and John Meredith of Galax, and Christopher and Sarah Riggins of Galax; father, James Ellis Riggins; siblings and spouses, James and Cindy Riggins of Carroll County, Mitchell and Barbara Riggins of Missouri, Richard and Teresa Riggins of Grayson County, Karen and Larry Smith of Fisher Peak, Joey and Teresa Riggins of Johnson City, TN, and Stanley Riggins and Beth of Carroll County; four grandchildren; and four step grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2014, 2:00 PM, at the Riggins home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
