Gary L. Brown, Sr., 52 of King, NC passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at his residence. He was preceded in death by a grandson Dominic Nathaniel Jones. Mr. Brown is survived by his son Gary Lee Brown, Jr. of Hillsville; mother Nellie Tilton of Hillsville; step daughters & spouses Dawn & Tracy Waddell of Walnut Grove, NC and Jessica & Mark Bobbitt of Stony Point, NC; step sons Joe Wright of Dugspur and Jeffrey Wright of Ft. Chiswell; sisters & brothers-in-law Linda & Steve Marshall of Hillsville, Donnie & Mary Marshall of Dugspur and Faye & Danny Bowers of Fries; special friend Ester Lane and four step grandchildren Brandon Waddell, Jessica Waddell, Jacob Thomas and Chloe Bobbitt.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the West End Cemetery in Wytheville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
