Garland Glenn Dalton, 81, of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mr. Dalton was born in Carroll County to the late Garland and Lula Hundley Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Olive Fern Dalton; son, Terry Gallimore; twenty brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include his children, Garland Glenn Dalton, Jr. of Austinville, Donnie Lane Dalton and wife, Marjorie of Austinville, Lisha Fern Reynolds and husband, Jeff of Hillsville, Angela Ann Carter and husband, Daniel of Austinville, Danny Keith Dalton and girlfriend, Deborah of Hillsville, and Sherry Hancock and boyfriend, Greg of Austinville; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Chad, Jessica, Stacy, Crystal, Rocky, Jonathan, Travis, and Wayne; eighteen great grandchildren; and special friends, Eddie and Valorie Justice. Funeral services will held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Mr. Malcolm Kniffen officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
