Garland Lee Bolen, 72, of Galax passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Bolen was preceded in death by his parents, Arby and Ellie Woods Bolen and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son and special friend, Bradley Bolen and Alicia of Galax; step-son, Aaron Crockett of Fancy Gap; brother, Jeff Bolen of Hillsville; grandson, Bradley Connor Bolen; granddaughter, Hailee; special friend, Celene Bolen.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bolen Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Bolen family.
