Gardella Burnette Bryant, 80 of Galax, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, Virginia. Gardella was born November 4, 1940 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Garnett Thomas Burnette and Zella Newman Burnette. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Geneva Cox and Willa Lee Burnette Hamilton; her brothers, Kenny (K.C.) Burnette and Hazen Reed Burnette; and her second husband, George "Tom" Terry.

Gardella is survived by her husband, Charlie Gray Bryant of Galax, Virginia and son, Shannon Reed Horton of Woodlawn, Virginia. In addition, she is survived by step-daughter, Tammy Graham and step-granddaughter, Kimberly Graham of Galax, Virginia; step-sons, Greg (Lynn) Terry and Darcy (Cheryl) Terry of Newport News, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Linda Brown Burnette of Galax, Virginia; and beloved church family of Coulson Church of the Brethren in Hillsville, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Coulson Church of the Brethren at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harold Boyd and Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
