Friel Goad, 80 of Dugspur, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mr. Goad is survived by his wife Sereta Goad of Dugspur; daughters & sons-in-law Marsha & Paul Shockley of Dugspur and Emma & Chad Porter of Hillsville; brothers Russell Goad and Fremon Goad both of Willis; sisters Beulah Richardson of Charlottesville, VA, Freida Raines of Louisa, VA, Frances (Belle) Reece of Charlottesville, VA, and Sylvia Hammell of Keene, VA; and two special nephews Marlon A. Goad and Gregory G. Goad.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday night at the funeral home. The family asks that flowers be omitted and donations be made to Liberty Bible Church 7425 Dusgpur Road, Laurel Fork, VA 24352.
