Friel Edwin Dalton, 87 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his parents Orville & Maggie Jane Dalton; wife Zenna Fowler Dalton; son Cecil Edwin Dalton; great granddaughter Zenna Nicole Dalton; sister Hallie Davis Delp; and brother Alvin Dalton. He is survived by his children & spouses Deloris & Domingo Cabinum of Lincolnton, NC, Linda & Roger Wilson of Woodlawn, Wayne (Bear) Dalton of Woodlawn, Carolyn & Jerry Martin of Mt. Airy, NC and Mildred & Butch Smith of Cana; sisters & brother-in-law Callie Williams Lowe of Hillsville and Ila Mae & Roy Alderman of Galax; brother & sister-in-law Everett & Sue Dalton of Galax; special friend Willa Ring; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Dalton Hill Christian Church with Pastor Chip Neely & Rev. James Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
