Fremon Goad, 73 of Willis, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at his home. Mr. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Posie & Laura Goad. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one sister Cora Goad; and six brothers Arlin, Ornia, Forest, Clinton, Elgie, and Friel Goad. He is survived by his sisters Beulah Goad Richardson of Charlottesville, VA, Fredia Goad Raines of Louisa, VA, Frances Belle Goad Reece of Charlottesville, VA and Sylvia Goad Hammill and husband George of Keene, VA; brother Russell Goad and wife Nancy of Willis, VA; many nieces & nephews; special niece Cora Richardson Adcock and husband James of Lovingston, VA; special girls in his life Marsha Shockley and husband Paul and Emma Porter and husband Chad; and a special and devoted friend Nora Mabry.

A memorial service will be held at New Harvest Ministries Church in Willis on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Roy J. Bentley officiating. Inurnment will be in the Nester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Goad to New Harvest Ministries P.O. Box 48 Willis, VA 24380.
