Frederick Alvin Wemmering, Jr., 92 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows.  Mr. Wemmering was born in South Dakota to the late Fred A. Wemmering, Sr. and Florence Schmidt Wemmering.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Leota Wemmering; children, Jeff Wemmering (Kim), Tracy Wemmering (Helen), Denise Badger, and Sandra Beaulieu (Claude); twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Shaen Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wemmering Family Cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
