Frederick E. Jack King, 85 of Max Meadows, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Wythe Community Hospital. Mr. King was born in Wythe County to the late John William and Lessie Gilbert King. He is survived by his wife Virginia Stone King of the home; daughters & son-in-law Gina & Tommy Dickens of Houston, Texas and Dana King of Roanoke, Virginia; brother & sister-in-law Frank & Edna King of Bedford, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Mr. Don Atkins, Mr. David Krug, Mr. Larry Phillips, and Mr. Tommy Dickens officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery in Wytheville. Military Rites will conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
