Freddie Lee Patton, 75, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home. Mr. Patton was born in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Elbert and Maybelle Felts Patton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Patton of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Glenn Hayden of Hillsville; brother, Mack Patton of Galax; grandchildren and spouse, Carrie and Garrett Goad of Laurel Fork and Karissa Hayden of Hillsville; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ray Bolen and Rev. Terri Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115 and Mr. Patton will be honored by the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department Color Guard as well. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
