Freddie Elwood Goad, 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows.  Mr. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Henry Heath and Thelma Arizonia Love Goad.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Corns Goad.

Mr. Goad is survived by siblings and spouses, Foy Goad (Almalee), Sanford Goad (Mary), Junior Goad (Carol), Darrell Goad (Denise), and Darlene Henley (Kelly); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Sandy Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crooked Oak Missionary Baptist Church.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
