Frances Merlene Sharp, 65 of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband Warren Jasper Sharp; her parents Lebren & Mae Parnell Edmonds; and six brothers & sisters. She is survived by her daughter Julie Ann Shores of Ruther Glen, VA; sons & daughters-in-law Tony & Wanda Sharp of Galax and Marty & Lisa Sharpe of Coleman, AL; very special friend Hesten Webb; sisters & brothers-in-law Alma & Earl Smith of Hillsville, Bonnie Primm of Petersburg, VA, Janet & Bimbo Taylor of Woodlawn, and Thelma Jean Slate of TN; brothers & sister-in-law Robert R. Edmonds of Richmond, Dixie & Mae Edmonds of Austinville and Elmer Dean Edmonds of Brunswick, VA; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Tim Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharp Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
