Frances Lorean Nester, 72 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Nester was born in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Carl and Julie Gunter Pack. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Davis Wayne Nester; son-in-law, Tony Hawks; sisters, Hazel Harris and Janet Pack; and brother, Lonnie Pack.

Survivors include her children, Pamela Hawks, David Lee Nester (Janet), James Nester, and Phyllis Williams (Luke); brothers, James Pack and Tommy Pack; grandsons, Joshua Dewayne Nester, Justin Davis Nester, Brian Anthony Hawks (Cheyenne), Cody Lee Hawks (Angie), and Michael Lee Nester; great-grandchildren, Hunter Lee and Elizabeth Gracie; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Nathan Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Shade Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
