Frances Ola Alderman, 64, of Galax passed away on February 23, 2007 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Jean Alderman Richardson. She is survived by her husband, Fred Alderman of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Brian Lowe, Isabel and Dewey Wayne Jennings, Yvonne and David Matthews, and Donna and Bulmaro Alva, all of Galax; brothers and sisters-in-law Melvin and Kaye Overstreet of Hillsville, James and Susie Overstreet of Willis, and William Overstreet of Galax; sisters and brothers-in-law Frankie and Darrell Sweet of Taylorsville, NC, Marie Hall of Floyd County, and Ann and Clyde Holcomb of Dublin, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Rev. Bill Davis and Rev. Joe Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
