Floyd McKenneth Alderman, 80 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home. Mr. Alderman was born in Carroll County to the late Charles Everett and Hallie McRoberts Alderman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Goldie N. Alderman; a grandson, Dillon Young; and siblings, Helena Belle Pettry, Berline Alderman Smith, Odell Alderman, Douglas Alderman, Elvis Alderman, and Everett Alderman.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Susie Alderman of Fancy Gap; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Tony Young of Hillsville; brothers, Glenn Alderman of Ivanhoe, Roscoe Alderman of Dugspur, and Frank Alderman of Fries; sister, Zenith Alderman Moore of Fries; grandchildren, Justin Alderman, Matthew Young and Mark Young; and great-grandchildren, Aaron Dwayne Young and Samuel Colt Young.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Mr. Gilbert Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Grover King Post 1115 of Hillsville Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
