Florence Josephine Martin, age 75, of Hillsville, passed away Saturday September 15, 2012 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Halifax County, Va on April 25, 1937. Miss Martin was a long time resident of Carroll House Group Home before her recent illness. She is survived by a sister, Hazel Spicer of Richmond Va, a brother and sister-in-law Odell and Helen Martin of Victoria, Va and a niece Donna Martin of Clover Va. She is also survived by her special friends and staff at the Carroll House where she lived for the last 15 years. A memorial service will be held at the Carroll House on October 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Miss Martin's remains will be scattered on the farm in Victoria. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
