Faye Cassell McGrady, 88 of Shelby Township, Michigan, formerly of Roanoke and Hillsville, is finally "home".  She passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 with family by her side. Mrs. McGrady was born in Hillsville, Virginia on November 17, 1933 to the late Ellis and Icy Branscome Cassell.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton McGrady; brothers, Lester, Oleon; and sister, Anita.

Surviving are sister, Lois Hepler and brother, Jerry (Joyce) Cassell; children, Michael McGrady (Phyllis) and Rhonda (Greg) Koehlinger; five grandchildren, Travis (Heather) McGrady, Kyle (Karen) McGrady, Tyler (Tammy) McGrady, Keegan (Matt) Wolf, Matthew (Claire) Koehlinger; and six great-grandchildren, Wes, Sara, Austin, Elsa, Abe and Mara; loving sisters-in-law Hulen, Vesta Lea, Nancy, Sandra, JoAnn, Louise and Shirley. And numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved and encouraged by Stephen Ministers and friends Elaine, Diane and Sandi. Special friends, Leslie and Iris, spent many a Sunday afternoon watching Hallmark movies with her.

Gardening, reading, jigsaw puzzles and embroidery were her favorite past-times.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Gladesboro Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jo Ann Bunn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gladesboro Lutheran Church.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
