Everett Fay Sutphin, 86 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.  Mr. Sutphin was born in Floyd County, Virginia to the late Kyle P and Ocie Underwood Sutphin.

Survivors include his children, Tanya Sutphin and Steve Sutphin (Gloria); life partner, Carolyn Spence; and siblings, Glendal Sutphin (Cheryl) and Shirley Turner.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Willis Underwood Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Goad officiating.  Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville VFW Grover King Post 1115.  The family will receive friends after the service at Slate Mountain Presbyterian Church at 239 Rock Church Road in Meadows of Dan, starting at 12:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
