Mr. Everett Joseph Cox, 72, 0f Meadows of Dan, Virginia, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Cox was born in Carroll County, Virginia the son the late Everett Claude & Viola Stockner Cox. He is survived by his wife, Elaine B. Cox of the home, two daughters & son-in-law, Claudette & Terry Ayers, Meadows of Dan, Susan Hodges, Galax, grandchildren & spouse, Leigh Ann Ayers, Jessica & Timothy Rash, Logan Hodges, Sarah Hodges, great granddaughter, Noelle Rash, two sisters & brothers-in-law, Emma & Hugh Martin, Roanoke, Helen & Jack Bane, Albemarle, NC, several nieces & nephews also survive. The funeral arrangements will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Reed Island Springs Baptist Church at 4:00 PM, with Rev. Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Island Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, at the church.
