Evelyn Elizabeth Smith, 75, of Hillsville passed away on October 27, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She was preceded in death by husband Vernon Smith, parents Sherman Clifton and Zora Burnette Rogers, daughter Claudia Lawson, and brother James Dewey Rogers. She is survived by grandchildren and spouses Angel & Mike Jones of Pulaski; Chad & Patricia Davis of Radford, Tammy Beverly of Dublin, Darrell Lawson of Pulaski, David Lawson of Pulaski, and Harley Smith of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law Robert Clifton & Sarah Rogers of Draper; cousin and spouse Mary Frances & Bruce Webb of Draper; special friend Debbie Smith of Hillsville; step-daughter Verna Keith of Hillsville; step-sons Richard Smith and Paul Smith of Hillsville, eight great granchildren and one great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Dugspur.
