Evelyn Largen Guynn, 96 of Woodlawn, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011at Wheatland Hills Retirement Center. Mrs. Guynn was born in Florence, South Carolina on August 14, 1914 to the late Emanuel Jackson & Beulah Watson Largen. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Dyer Guynn. She is survived a son & daughter-in-law Charles Guynn, Woodlawn and Charlene Guynn, Woodlawn; step daughters & spouses, Frances Guynn & George Newman, Winston Salem, NC and June Dyer (J.D.) & Robert Stanek, Farmington, Connecticut; two sisters, Mary Ogle, Woodlawn and Martha Weisheit, Cheshire, Connecticut; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hillsville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillsville Presbyterian Church Building Fund 172 South Main Street, Hillsville, VA 24343.
