Eula Goad Sutphin, 97 of Willis, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Sutphin was born in Carroll County to the late Tate and Mary Elizabeth Turman Goad. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Howard Sutphin.

Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Sutphin Childress of King, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Debra Sutphin of Galax; sister, Lilias Turman of Meadows of Dan; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Lori Sutphin, Jill Sharp, Josh and Kimberly Childress, and Tate and Ashleigh Childress; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rocky Sutphin and Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Goad Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
